Rosh Hashanah And The Rapture Of The Church Part 2

Rosh Hashanah And The Rapture Of The Church Part 3

Rosh Hashanah will begin at Sundown on Sunday, October 2, and will continue thru Sundown on Tuesday, October 4. The meaning of the feast is “Head of the Year,” and is the first day of the Jewish year (5777), and is the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, as celebrated by Jews. The central observance of Rosh Hashanah is the blowing of the shofar, the ram’s horn, which also represents the trumpet blast of a people’s coronation of their king. Altogether, there will be 100 shofar blasts over the course of a Rosh Hashanah service. Consider the mental depression that many people experience during the New Year’s Day of January 1, as opposed to the celebration of the New Year that Jews celebrate. Rosh Hashanah is described in Leviticus 23:23-25, Numbers 29:1-6; its fulfillment is in Christ and is shown in Matthew 24:31, which is known as Israel’s “Regathering By Christ.” That regathering by Christ occurs following His second coming to physically stand on earth on the mount of Olives (See Matthew 24:29-30, Zechariah 14:1-5, and Revelation 19:11-21, which discuss the second coming of Christ to earth at the Battle Of Armageddon.)

The Feast of Trumpets

(Leviticus 23:23-25) KJV

23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

The Feast of Trumpets

(Numbers 29:1-6) KJV

1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you. 2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish: 3 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram, 4 And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs: 5 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you: 6 Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.

The Regathering Of Israel By Christ

(Matthew 24:31) KJV)

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Second Coming of Christ-After The Tribulation (The catching up of the church will have already taken place: John 14:2-3; 1 Corinthians 15:50-53; 1 Thessalonaians 4:13-18)

(Matthew 24:29-30) KJV

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The Second Coming Of Christ – To Battle The Nations/Gentiles Attacking Jerusalem

(Zechariah 14:1-5) KJV

1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

The Second Coming Of Christ – To Battle The Nations/Gentiles Attacking Jerusalem

(Revelation 19:11-21) KJV

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Defeat of the Beast and False Prophet

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Nations/Gentiles Preparing For Battle Of Armageddon

(Revelation 16:13-20) KJV

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The Seventh Bowl of Wrath/The Cities Of The Nations Fall

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Order of events:

The Catching Up Of The Church: Christ takes His believers to Heaven to the Beyma Judgment/Judgment Seat Of Christ, where they receive rewards (2 Corinthians 5:10). As the Bride of Christ, those caught up await the Marriage of The Lamb (Revelation 19:6-10), which precedes their return to Earth with Christ (Revelation 19:14; Zechariah 14:5). The church is caught up as the bride of Christ; never again is the name, “Church,” seen in Scripture. Consider how the raptured saints are identified: “…and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with Thee”(Zachariah 14:5). “And the armies which were in Heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, clean and white” (Revelation 19:14). Those who rule and reign with Christ for 1000 years (millennium) are called priests of God and of Christ (Revelation 20:1-6).

The Tribulation: Follows the catching up of the church.

The Second Coming Of Christ: Christ returns to earth, where He stands on the Mount of Olives (The caught up believers accompany Christ).
