The Message Of The Cross

1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.(1 Corinthians 2:1-2)…”For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18) Consider the cross. Is its message clear to you? If it is not, you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and let the fullness and teaching of God’s Holy Spirit fill you… 26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. (John 15:16)… 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. (John 16:7-11) God’s Holy Spirit is our helper, but only becomes our helper after we have been born again of His Spirit… 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:3-8)…19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. (John 14:19-20) Consider the indwelling of God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit, all indwelling the spirits of all who have been born again… 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. (Colossians 1:27-28) Consider the literal indwelling presence of the Spirit of God within those who have been born again, from above. Consider the literal indwelling presence of those who have been born again, from above, in the Spirits of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Such indwellings (vs 27 and 28) make us, (believers in Christ) perfect in spirit in Christ Jesus. Before our being born again, our spiritual being was that of “darkness.” After our being born again, our spiritual being became one of “light.” The eternal importance of our being born again, and being changed from “darkness” to “light” is explained very clearly in the following verse….5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). Unless we have been born again, and have our spirits changed from darkness to light, our spirits will never be in God (Father, Son, or Holy Spirit), now, or forever! Consider the following passage that relates to those who have not been born again. Such are those who have not been born again, and have not found their presence within the Presence of God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.) Consider the judgment that is waiting those who do not have their presence in God.

Revelation 20:11-15 New King James Version

The Great White Throne Judgment

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

    1. Thanks for your kind words. Please let me say that I am a believer in Jesus. It’s not a religion, but a relationship, a very good relationship. Religion is “man trying to get to God.” The relationship that I have with God, through Jesus, is His reaching out to me. I have a number of blog followers who don’t necessarily share my beliefs but we have good relationships, too. I hope that you will have a wonderful day.
