“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”(Matthew 1:21)
The purpose of this post of songs of worship and praise is to give honor and glory to Jesus, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16). As with any sermon or lesson, it is often difficult to determine starting and stopping points as is shown in the first and last verses of the Bible.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1,NASB)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen.” (Revelation 22:21, HCSB)
Also, the decision of which information to put in between the starting and stopping points can be a matter of deep prayer. Such was the challenge that I had as I was choosing from the many wonderful songs that had been parts of the annual Pastors’ Conferences of The First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida, USA. The opening song, “Sold Out,” was led by Daniels Crews with the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church and FBC JAX choirs at the 2014 Jacksonville Pastors’ Conference. The songs that were chosen for this post came from previous conferences that date back to the year 1998. The First Baptist Church Of Jacksonville is affiliated with The Southern Baptist Convention. Its current membership is approximately 28,000. The congregation is led by its Senior Pastor, Dr. Mac Brunson.
Please let me say how thankful I am for the way that God has allowed me to share the love of Christ with other bloggers who live in various nations around our world. We, who are believers in Christ, are all products of the “Great Commission,” which was given by our Lord Jesus Christ. I trust that you will receive a rich blessing as you listen to the songs of this post.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, HCSB)
