Romans 1:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Many people have said that the president is a Muslim. There also many who have said that, in his leading of our country, he is “asleep at the wheel.” In regard to being a Muslim, let me say this. It’s not a matter of having a membership card. In regard to “sleeping at the wheel,” let me be very truthful. It is true that our nation’s leader supports the killing of unborn babies in the wombs of their mothers, and supports same-sex marriage. It is also true that those other leaders of our government, such as the vice president, attorney general, secretary of state, former secretary of state (now, president wannabe), senate minority leader, house minority leader, all of whom are democrats, all support the killing of unborn babies in the wombs of their mothers, and all support same-sex marriage. So, in regard to our nation’s leader, and the other leaders that I mentioned, none of them show that they have an intimate and personal saving relationship with Jesus – that they have been “born again.” If they had been born again, and if they were to have a personal relationship with Jesus, they would not be supporting the killing of unborn babies in the wombs of their mothers, and they would not be in support of same-sex marriage. So, we can easily state that our nation is being led by people who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But, let’s get back to the two opening questions. First of all, I can’t read the mind of another person including our president. Secondly, I have not been privy to the daily work records of anybody in our government, including our president. With this lengthy answer to two short questions, let me direct two similar questions to the body of Christ, which is the church of Christ…I will answer the questions. I will be truthful with my answers…First of all, are the majority of people who call themselves “Christians,” actually “born again believers in Christ?” Very honestly speaking, I see very little evidence that most people who walk in and out of their “church” each week are “sold out” for the cause of Christ. There is too much conflict and back-biting going on within the church. There is no proof that there is a great desire of people, who call themselves Christians, to study God’s Word to the extent that they will be able to share their born-again experience with unbelievers in a way that will show them the need for a personal relationship with Christ (this was a recent Christian news report indictment of people who say they are Christians). My second question and answer relate to Christians being “asleep at the wheel.” The purpose of pastors, as stated in Ephesians 4:12, is for them to “equip the saints.” But, “really!” How can a pastor equip the saints, when the time for such equipping is normally less than one hour a week. Also, how can “the saints” (those are born again believers in Christ; see Ephesians 1:1) be equipped when they are under the teaching and preaching of a pastor for less than an hour each week, or even less? So, I can provide an honest answer to my question. The answer is, yes! The church is definitely asleep at the wheel… The times in which we live are perilous. Christians are being beheaded because of their belief in Christ as their Lord and Savior. Unbelievers may be in attendance in “church” services, but they are often not being told the necessity for them to have a relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior. When we read scriptures that relate to the “end times,” it’s like watching the 24-hour news reports of our day. It is important for believers in Christ to know that they will be “caught up” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18), and miss the time of tribulation (Matthew 24:21), that was described by Jesus as being “such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.” Those who have not been born again will be “left behind” when the great “catching away, (the rapture of the church) occurs. Those who are left-behind will experience the persecution of the Anti-Christ, and the judgments of God on a fallen and sinful earth. Those who say that they have been born again need to know, if that has actually happened, that they have the assurance, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5; Deuteronomy 31:6), and “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:28)… Many liberal, watered-down churches and pastors seem to have “lost their way.” They are described, as in Revelation 2:4; “you have left your first love.” The great commission of Jesus, (Matthew 28:18-20), to “go, teach, baptize and teach” seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
Consider the following video. Ask yourself this question: will you, or will you not, be left behind when the rapture of the church occurs? Will you be equipped to warn others of their need to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, so they will not be left behind,” when Jesus descends in the air and catches up the believers in Christ with him, to spend eternity with him? Will the “church of Christ” be found to be “negligent” because of its lack of witnessing to those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior?
The Rapture Of The Church
1 Corinthians 15:50-53 New King James Version (NKJV)
Our Final Victory
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
