1 Corinthians 1:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
In the following scene from the movie, Fireproof, Caleb’s father is very frank with him. Consider true love and the cross.
Do you show love by washing the car, changing the oil, doing the dishes, cleaning the house, cooking dinner, or even by, “buying her flowers?”
Fire Proof – The Cross
Someone might ask,” How am I supposed to show love to somebody over and over and over who constantly rejects me? Let me offer a thought.
Pray through it. Don’t give up. Remember what it was that drew the two of you together, and why you fell in love in the first place. Consider the following verse of scripture, and the video that follows.
Psalm 27:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Fire Proof – While I’m Waiting
