A church or para-church ministry should consider following he patttern that is set for us in Ephesians 4:12, “equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ.” We should be intentional in making our teachings and sermons relative to sharing the good news of Jesus. We should want to help others in sharing those teachings with people who need know that they can spend eternity with our Lord and Savior.
It is obvious that today’s world is one where there is a great need to lead lost souls to a saving relationship of belief in Jesus. We must understand a sense of urgency in making the words of John 3:18 known to the masses of people around the world.
John 3:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
The words of John 3:18 are not to be taken lightly, nor should they be dismissed. Please take those words very seriously, and act on them on behalf of those who have no belief in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Consider the following passage, as it may relate to the times in which we live.
Matthew 24:6-12 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
6 You will soon hear about wars and threats of wars, but don’t be afraid. These things will have to happen first, but that isn’t the end. 7 Nations and kingdoms will go to war against each other. People will starve to death, and in some places there will be earthquakes. 8 But this is just the beginning of troubles.
9 You will be arrested, punished, and even killed. Because of me, you will be hated by people of all nations. 10 Many will give up and will betray and hate each other. 11 Many false prophets will come and fool a lot of people. 12 Evil will spread and cause many people to stop loving others.
Please, prepare yourselves to be believers in Jesus who will be able to follow the teachings of Lord and Savior.
Matthew 28:19 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
19 Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
Are you ready for the rapture of the church? Please don’t be left behind.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 The Message (MSG)
15-18 And then this: We can tell you with complete confidence—we have the Master’s word on it—that when the Master comes again to get us, those of us who are still alive will not get a jump on the dead and leave them behind. In actual fact, they’ll be ahead of us. The Master himself will give the command. Archangel thunder! God’s trumpet blast! He’ll come down from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise—they’ll go first. Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds to meet the Master. Oh, we’ll be walking on air! And then there will be one huge family reunion with the Master. So reassure one another with these words.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)
The dead and the living will be fitted for immortality
51-53 Listen, and I will tell you a secret. We shall not all die, but suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, every one of us will be changed as the trumpet sounds! The trumpet will sound and the dead shall be raised beyond the reach of corruption, and we who are still alive shall suddenly be utterly changed. For this perishable nature of ours must be wrapped in imperishability, these bodies which are mortal must be wrapped in immortality.
